About our Boxers
Located in Las Vegas, NV and Orchard Park, NY. We fell in love with Boxers so recently decided to become Boxer breeders and spread the love of this wonderful canine! Our Boxers are raised in our home with lots of love and children all around. They are from champion bloodlines and have wonderful conformation, beautiful heads and excellent temperaments. Our boxers are fun loving, intelligent and seem to know what you want before you know it yourself. They love to run free outdoors or wrestle around the yard, yet are calm and docile when indoors. Boxers are great watchdogs but also very friendly with people and other animals with proper socialization. Easily trainable, they are great when left home alone. Our dogs are fed "Taste of the Wild" which is a high quality, grain free kibble. Boxers typically have sensitive stomachs and careful selection of proper nutrition (free from common allergens and properly balanced to avoid gassiness) will insure their continued overall health. We recommend this brand to our puppies’ new families or similar quality grain free kibble. Boxers are a favored breed, and advancing the line (selective breeding) with careful attention to characteristics, temperament, health and conformation is a sure way to improve it and produce excellent companions for like minded individuals who want to share the most loving, playful, intelligent, and beautiful creature on four legs, the Boxer (just saying).

You know what they say, you can never have just one boxer!

Its front legs should be straight and parallel.

Temperament

The Boxer is happy, high-spirited, playful, curious and energetic. Highly intelligent, eager and quick to learn, but can be stubborn and sneaky. The Boxer Is a good dog for competitive obedience. Constantly on the move, bonding very closely with the family. Loyal and affectionate, Boxers are known for the way they get along so well with children. A well brought-up and properly socialized Boxer will also get along with his own kind and other household pets. However one Boxer owner reported; their Boxer is best friends with their many barn cats and second dog, but will chase and eat their ducks and other farm birds. The female boxer will often get into tights with other female dogs, trying to display her dominance. If one owns a female boxer and another female dog, they will get along and even play most of the time, however they will most likely fight from time to time. It has been said that the name Boxer came from the way the Boxer likes to use is front paws for just about everything. if you have over witched a Boxer go about his business you may have noticed the way he paws at his toys, food bowl and you for that matter, in a very playful cat like way. Some Boxers have been known to paw at their food or water bowl if they are empty. Playfully barking, pawing and playing with the bowl, flipping it upside-down and putting their front paws on the top of the bowl, sliding it around the house barking and whining until someone fills it for them. It looks like a silly game, but the Boxer knows what he Is trying to tell you, he's hungry! While participating the sport of schutzhund, BMWs are known to jump up and use their front paws as if they are boxing. They are very clownish and playful and have been known to grab and carry ANYTHING around including your knickknacks if he thinks he can get away with it. The Boxer's nature is to protect you, your family, and your home. Known visitors will be welcomed boisterously. They are always keen to work and play. Boxers need lots of human companionship. They can be rather boisterous and even in old age are still extremely athletic. Teach the Boxer not to be boisterous and especially not to jump up at people. Boxers love to jump. This breed is noted for courage and makes great guard dogs. Boxers have a wide use in military and police work. Training should start young and be firm and consistent. This breed requires a dominant owner. An excellent watchdog, the Boxer will restrain an
intruder in the same way a Bulldog does.

Origin

The Boxer's ancestors were two German mastiff type dogs, the Bullenbeiszer and the Barenbeiszer. They were later crossed with the powerful ancestors of the Mastiff and Bulldog. Early on, these dogs were prized for hunting, bull baiting, and for pulling carts. A bit farther down the family tree, Boxer ancestors became cattle dogs, and were used to round up livestock. They were also popular circus and theater dogs because they learned tricks so easily. Breeding was rather indiscriminate until the first Boxer studbook was started in 1904, stabilizing the
breed standard. In spite of its German origins, "Boxer's is an English name that suitably describes the dog's punchy fighting style. Though early Boxers may have been quite ferocious, the breed today is a very gentle, loving family companion. Some of the Boxer's talents are watchdogging, guarding, police work, military work, search & rescue, competitive obedience, schutzhund and performing tricks.

Testimonials
Just a few of the wonderful families who love our puppies.
We came across Orchard Park Boxers (Las Vegas Boxers) as we looked online for our new Boxer. We had a boxer that we bought from a breeder in our area but they were no longer breeding. We wanted to make sure that our puppy would be healthy and not inbred. There were many boxers available in our area, but they were not from recommended breeders. We were one of the first people to call about the puppies and they were only a couple days old. Shannon was a big help in picking out our little girl, Kaiyah. We had to decide mainly from pictures since we live 3 hours away. We went to see her and put our deposit down a week later. Shannon was able to answer any questions we had and the puppies were very well cared for. The Mother and Father were both there for us to meet and were well mannered. When we got her home and took her to the vet, he was very pleased. He raves about her every time she is there and tells us what a beautiful boxer she is. He wanted to know where we got her and told us that the breeders did a very good job.  We will always go to Orchard Park Boxers (Las Vegas Boxers) for future additions to our family.
The Duncan family
I have been a Boxer lover for 24 years. Unfortunately I put my last male down at 11 1/2 years young. Needless to say, it took awhile to think about getting another addition to our family. My other boxer girl was so lonely we decided to start looking for a brother for her. My husband came across Shannon's name in the paper, so we checked out her website. I immediately fell in love with a male, by the time I called he was already picked by another gentleman.
So with careful thought we took the ride to see the other male, to our delight we got to meet Shannon, Jack and Tesla and Reyes, what beautiful dogs, when we met our male it was destiny, he high fived my husband, we were sold.
Another reason I knew we were taking Jaxson is Shannon was very knowledgeable about this wonderful breed, and she had both parents and puppies on organic food, that was very important to me, as knowing the breed the way I do, I know they thrive on the better foods.
Anyway Jaxson has givin my boxer girl new meaning about life, he is lovable and a total clown as all boxers are, he has 2 certificates at 6 months old ( puppy class & obedience training) soon to start agility training classes. We walk 2 1/2 miles a day and just love it and him.
I would definitely go back to Shannon for my next boxer, who knows I have a 7 month old and an 11 1/2 year old. So time will tell.
Thank you Shannon for keeping this wonderful breed alive, we will keep in touch forever.

I was a little particular when I started searching for my boxer puppy. I wanted a puppy that came from a loving home where the parents were family pets. I found lots of puppies that appealed to me in looks, but for 1 reason or another, did not feel comfortable with the breeder. When I came across Orchard Park Boxers (Las Vegas Boxers), I called and spoke to Shannon personally & she sent me
some additional photos. I sent her my deposit & made arrangements for us to visit the pup that weekend; she would then be 6 weeks old. When we arrived for our visit, we met the parents of the puppies; both were beautiful, friendly, well cared for, family dogs. The puppies were all sleeping & when Shannon took us in to see them, the only one to wake up was our little girl!
Shannon picked her up, handed her to me, & I was in love! We spent some time with her & made arrangements to come back in 2 weeks to take her home.
She is absolutely the best dog! From the moment we left with her, she never cried or whined at being separated from her Mom or littermates. I think she knew she was with her family! We named her Shelby & she has been a wonderful addition to our home. We take her everywhere we can, she loves to ride in the car, run in the woods, & she even picks her own blackberries! She loves nothing more than being where we are. We get compliments on what a "pretty dog" & how "calm & well behaved" she is ALL the time. Everyone loves her & asks where we got her. Shelby is a happy, healthy, funny, beautiful, energetic girl who brings joy to our lives every day. Orchard Park is 3 hours away, but was well worth the trip! I would definitely contact Shannon again when we are ready for another boxer baby!
